Greetings!
Welcome to the journalism website for 7th and 8th grade students enrolled in yearbook, newspaper or intro to journalism/news magazine at Cedar Valley Middle School. These course electives include a comprehensive introduction to interviewing, reporting and writing for the press.. You will learn to use Adobe Creative Suite 3 with emphasis on InDesign, Photoshop and Adobe Bridge. Students also will be introduced to photography using SLR cameras.

General Information
All students should bring home a packet on the first day of school containing information about ordering a yearbook and placing an advertisement or congratulatory in The Jaguar. In addition students should bring home information about placing advertising in our student-produced newspaper, The Paw Print. We launched our online student newspaper last year! Two print editions  will appear in November 2010 and April 2011.
